12/365 Christmas Tree FireDecided to have a fire today, as we are having problems with the boiler. Love burning the Christmas Tree on the fire as you get a great smell and really dramatic "snap crackle & pops" !
11/365 - Essential IngredientNot sure I need to say more.... garlic is a must have in our kitchen and we go through loads of it !
10/365 the Bridge, HoxtonI was in Hoxton today and walked past this place which had the doors open - the colours were amazing and it looked so inviting I had to peek in and have a quick look. Unfortunately I had a train to catch, but I will definitely be visiting it on my next return to Hoxton and will have to check out the upstairs - see below !
"Taken over in 2010 by two cousins, The Bridge is a highly unusual café and bar thanks to its melting pot of different influences. You walk in and it feels like a cozy English pub. You pass by the tills from the 1800s and 1900s while glancing at ornate walls and beautiful coffee machines and you feel you’ve stepped back in time. Next comes the eclectic display of food; one row houses unusual choices such as Kadner – a gigantic sweet Mediterranean version of a pancake, Borek – a savory spinach and cheese pastry alongside other things while another row displays elaborate French cakes! It’s good to know the delights are also reasonably priced (£2-£3.50). On top of that, the pièce de resistance comes from upstairs. The most insane Baroque inspired seating feels like walking onto a movie set. TSL recommends coming here for both a coffee and bar stop."-Twenty Something London 9/365 Sunset TonightThere were beautiful clouds in the sky all day today and when I got the opportunity to pop out, I just managed to catch the sun as it was setting.
7/365 Orchids and Fairy LightsBeginning to realise how hard this project is going to be - trying to squeeze it in after work and before I go out.....
This is a shot of some orchids I have been growing in my kitchen for a few years now (they are great as they just keep going on and on), with fairy lights hanging on the window in the background. |
