I met this lovely little lady and her family at the picnic and she made my day, as she thought I was only 31; which she then reduced to 21 ! #lavender #fields #beautifulsmile

Lavender Fields

I received an e mail earlier this week, from our local Lavender Farm in Shoreham, Castle Farm, letting me know that they were going to be opening up their fields for the first time for pop up picnics. The weather didn't look too promising when we left home on the friday evening, but it was absolutely idyllic and I would thoroughly recommend it to everyone. There were only about 20 people there (it was their first night), so we were even luckier to almost have the place to ourselves. We were able to walk through the fields and the smell of fresh lavender wafting up as we brushed through was divine. I went with my friend Nathalie and we met some really lovely families there too, who were also enjoying the evening and the whole experience. Obviously the wine helped too......well it was a Friday night and courtesy of Nathalie, there is also a rare photo of me !

Teston Lock - Better in colour

4/7/2016

After all the wet weather we have had lately  it was a beautiful Summers Day yesterday, so when my husband and son decided they were going fishing at Teston Lock late in the afternoon, I decided I would join them too. As they set off with all their fishing gear, I realised that I had more gear them them, what with my rucksack, camera and tripod etc !  We agreed to meet back at the car 2 hours later at 7pm and set off in opposite directions. I had a great walk along the river and at one point noticed so many rabbits in front of me, I just stood and watched them all for about 10 minutes; it was lovely and so peaceful.

I captured the image below with the intention of converting it to black & white, but love the colours so much, couldn't bring myself to alter it !
