10/365 the Bridge, HoxtonI was in Hoxton today and walked past this place which had the doors open - the colours were amazing and it looked so inviting I had to peek in and have a quick look. Unfortunately I had a train to catch, but I will definitely be visiting it on my next return to Hoxton and will have to check out the upstairs - see below !
"Taken over in 2010 by two cousins, The Bridge is a highly unusual café and bar thanks to its melting pot of different influences. You walk in and it feels like a cozy English pub. You pass by the tills from the 1800s and 1900s while glancing at ornate walls and beautiful coffee machines and you feel you’ve stepped back in time. Next comes the eclectic display of food; one row houses unusual choices such as Kadner – a gigantic sweet Mediterranean version of a pancake, Borek – a savory spinach and cheese pastry alongside other things while another row displays elaborate French cakes! It’s good to know the delights are also reasonably priced (£2-£3.50). On top of that, the pièce de resistance comes from upstairs. The most insane Baroque inspired seating feels like walking onto a movie set. TSL recommends coming here for both a coffee and bar stop."-Twenty Something London 9/365 Sunset TonightThere were beautiful clouds in the sky all day today and when I got the opportunity to pop out, I just managed to catch the sun as it was setting.
8/365 A Moment....Inspirational quotes - I think there are two camps, you love them, or hate them...
I fall into the latter and love quotes. They capture a moment, a feeling, or a belief with a quick intensity and powerful insight that strikes deeply. I am probably going to include a few of my favourites as I go through this project, and this is the first....... 7/365 Orchids and Fairy LightsBeginning to realise how hard this project is going to be - trying to squeeze it in after work and before I go out.....
This is a shot of some orchids I have been growing in my kitchen for a few years now (they are great as they just keep going on and on), with fairy lights hanging on the window in the background. 6/365 Hard Day in the OfficeThe first day back at work today after the Christmas break which was quite a shock to the system :(
Took a few shots of one of my cats "Blue" and whilst the one I have chosen below isn't great technically, it really makes me smile - hope you like it too ! 5/365 Mexican Wanted Poster ?Yep, you probably guessed, it was Mexican for Dinner today !
Had great fun, just keep finding black moustaches around the house...... 4/365 Guess What's for Dinner tomorrow ?Been busy today shopping and getting everything ready for Eddies Birthday Dinner tomorrow - can you guess what he asked me to cook ?
3/365 Southbank - Rushing in the RainWent to the Southbank today. It was raining and the wind was bitingly cold, so everyone was rushing to get where they needed to be !
2/365 Seven Sisters in the Winter SunToday was the first morning with bright sunshine for quite a few days, so we headed for the coast and the South Downs. Originally we intended to go to Birling Gap, but the beach area was closed due to the recent storms and landslides there. Further along the coast is the Seven Sisters Country Park, named after the famous Seven Sisters that form part of the chalk cliffs on the Sussex Heritage Coast. It was a great walk and beautiful sunlight on the cliffs - we left just as the storm arrived !
